第十課如何說話

說話是人與人情意交流的重要工具，但是如果想要說得恰如其分，就需要運用說話的技巧。

話說得有技巧，可以激勵士氣、鼓舞人心。一家廣告公司有兩組設計團隊，其中一組的主管在設計師交出作品時，屢屢顯出不滿意的表情，還會用冷言冷語批評，設計師聽得心灰意冷，漸漸失去了創作的動力。另一組的主管則會以鼓勵的口吻說：「辛苦你了，你的作品真有創意！如果能再修飾一下，那就更好了。」設計師受到鼓舞，作品不斷的推陳出新。由此可知，同樣的一件事，表達的方式不一樣，效果就明顯不同。如果先肯定對方，再提出建議，就能讓人提升信心，把事情做得更圓滿。

話說得有技巧，可以化解緊張的氣氛。美國前總統尼克森有一次出國訪問，偏巧飛機故障，工作人員急得直冒冷汗。沒想到尼克森總統風趣的說：「這是好事啊！幸好是在陸地上發現故障，不是在天上。」尼克森總統的一句話，使心急如焚的工作人員，發出了會心的微笑。在緊張的時刻，以幽默的語言來代替指責，不但有利於問題的解決，也能讓人留下深刻美好的印象。

話說得有技巧，可以減少衝突或誤會的發生。說話前如果沒有深思熟慮，謹慎用語，往往說錯話卻不自知，導致傷了人，壞了事。所謂「言者無心，聽者有意」，我們常看到有人因一句玩笑話而耿耿於懷；也有人因一言不合，心存芥蒂而產生隔閡。所以說話前要認清場合、斟酌時機和對象，才能把話說得合宜得體。

1. A Room with a View

A Room with a View is a 1908 novel by English writer E. M. Forster, about a young woman in the restrained culture of Edwardian era England. Set in Italy and England, the story is both a romance and a critique of English society at the beginning of the 20th century. Merchant-Ivory produced an award-winning film adaptation in 1985.

The Modern Library ranked A Room with a View 79th on its list of the 100 best English-language novels of the 20th century (1998).

Passoveris an important, biblically derived Jewish festival. The Jewish people celebrate Passover as a commemoration of their liberation by God from slavery in Egypt and their freedom as a nation under the leadership of Moses. It commemorates the story of the Exodus as described in the Hebrew Bible especially in the Book of Exodus, in which the Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt. According to standard biblical chronology, this event would have taken place at about 1300 BCE (AM 2450).
